Tour Overview

What better way to explore Israel than on your bike and through your taste buds? Together, Puzzle Israel and Genesis Cycling, will take you on an amazing 7-day tour riding on the most beautiful cycling paths and roads this country has to offer. From the luscious green mountains of the north to the sprawling desert landscapes of the south, this trip offers exploration for all five senses. Experience Israel’s finest markets, field and restaurant cuisines all the while cycling through the impressive colorful terrains. Accompanying you on your tour will be Israeli chef, Nir Margalith, along with the Puzzle Israel and Genesis Cycling logistics crews, primed to meet any of the traveler's needs. 
Day 1 – Arrival and preparations. Start your journey with unique wine, cheese and meat tastings in Zikhron Yaakov or Binyamina artisan colonies.  
Welcome-to-Israel meeting with all Puzzle Israel and Genesis Cycling staff members including dinner prepared by Chef Nir Margalith.
Day 2 –ride along the mountains of the Golan Heights and down to the Sea of Galilee. Taste some wine and cheese at the local winery and dairy farm at Kidmat Tsvi. This route ends on the coast of the famous Sea of Galilee, with its immense religious context and importance. 
Getting hungry? Attend a meat workshop at Gillis Restaurant in southern Ramat Hagolan hosted by Puzzle Chef Nir Margalith and Gillis Home Chef.
Day 3 – Opening your eyes to the beautiful blue water of the Sea of Galilee. For the ride of the second day we will head south towards the city of Beit Shean, which holds a very rich historical background due to its strategical location as the gate keeper of the Jordan Valley and the Jezreel Valley. Make your way up to catch the magnificent view from the top of Mount Gilboa and Enjoy a plentiful lunch by Chef Nir Margalith overlooking the marvelous view of the ancient valleys below.
Day 4 – Spectacular guided tour in the old city of Jerusalem.
Take a guided tour of the city walking through the enchanting streets and alleyways. Feast your eyes and stomach with a tasting tour at the Mahane Yehuda open market followed by a lunch at the ‘Machneyuda’ market restaurant. Get creative making together with group members an interactive joint dinner.
Day 5 – Starting from the David vs Goliath famous battle arena at the Ella Valley, this ride runs along the central green valleys of Israel, which are known as Israel’s Tuscan scenic routes. Along the day's route you will get to experience the exquisite, diverse color clash, as the green vegetation slowly gives way to the white rock formation of the vast desert. Enjoy a special lunch from a desert observation point in one of the most ancient caves in the Ella Valley (Zak’s Farm). The ride holds its party piece in its final kilometers with one of the most glorious roads in the world - the famous descent to the lowest place on earth, the Dead Sea.  
Days 6 – Enjoying the natural beauty of the shiny white salty coasts of the Dead Sea, we will begin our ride upwards, leaving the lowest place on earth. This day contains several challenges and is suitable to provide all levels of riding with some challenging ascents. The Akrabim Ascent and Yeruham ascent will provide those who wish to test their legs with the ultimate test, in a desert type environment. A true challenge, Israeli style. Enjoy an authentic Bedouin meal prepared by a local family and get the local perspective with a lecture about the region’s wineries giving life to the Israeli desert and the recent developments in desert agriculture.
Days 7 – Relaxing after a long journey in one of the most breathtaking locations in the world, Mizpe Ramon. This magnificent place is one of the world's most astonishing geological marvels, a natural crater that was not created by impact but rather by the erosion of the rock. When arriving, you will have the final day to become mesmerized by one of nature's remarkable landscapes.
