This tour takes you back in time to the place where Christianity was born, the bible tales took place and the ancient wisdom of the "kabalah" was writen. Through 6 days and 360 km of cycling across northern Israel that includes visits to the holy sites of the Galilee you get to explore the holy land in a way no other experience let you know Israel.
But no visit to Israel is complete without a visit to Jerusalem…
The last day of the program includes a visit to old city of Jerusalem and cycling across the area of Judea nearby the city.
Day 1
We will gather in Tel Aviv at midday and and head north towards the the city of Naharya where we will start the tour the following day.
Day 2 - Mediterranean Sea to Hula Valley
The tour and the first stage starts at a village located on the shores of the Mediterranean and climbs up to the Mountains of the Galilee. The stage crosses the northern part of the Galilee from west to east across the marvelous scenery of the Green Mountains and Valleys. The stage goes across villages of Druze, Bedouins, Christians, Muslims, Circassians and Jews that represent the unique cultural diversity of this small piece of land. At the end of the stage we will reach the Hula Valley right between the Galilee Mountains and the Golan Heights.
Day 3 - Hula Valley to The Sea of Galilee
The stage starts at the north end of the Hula Valley and ends at south end of the Sea of Galilee. We will ride across the Hula Valley and climb halfway to the Golan Heights. At lunchtime we will visit the Mountain of Beatitudes and Caper Naum. The stage continues south, along the east shore of the Sea of Galilee and end at a village called "Kibutz Dgania" which is the first "Kibutz" in Israel (Kibutz is a unique socialist agricultural settlement which is typical to Israel).
Day 4 - Sea of Galilee to Mount Tabor
The stage starts at Kibutz Dgania. At the beginning of the stage we will visit the Baptism site in Yardenit and then continue riding south along the Jordan River. We than continue climbing up to the Gilboa Mountain with the view of the Harod and Yizrael valleys below us. After descending from the Gilboa mountain we will cross the Yizrael Valley, the vibrant heart of the biblical Galilee land. We will finish the stage at the top of the Tabor Mountain just outside the city of Nazareth.
Day 5 - Climbing to Jerusalem
The stage goes across the region of Judea and the forest and mountains of Jerusalem. The stage is shorter in order to allow sufficient time for visiting Jerusalem although it can be quite intensive due to the climbs. The stage starts at the lower part of the Judea region and ends in "Ein Karem" at the west end of Jerusalem.
